Hello,
I have recently installed the LPCXpresso and at a first glimpse I am fairly disappointed. First thing is an error on the splash screen saying:Internal error No vendors found EXception. I click Ok, the IDE starts. Clicking new project shows Errorbox with NullPointerException. Tree times. Afterwards I can click on different processor families, but the only enabled button at the bottom is cancel. Importing blinky on the other hand works. Freertos is missing small_printf.h and won't compile. Am I missing something?

thanks for supporting me so well.
Never got this message during installation. I installed it in the same path on my old machine - but LPCXpresso was in an earlier version. It still works there.
I always start LPCXpresso as Admin, so I should have permission to write into programm path. If I change compatibiliy mode the lic file isn't valid. So changed back to Win7 compatibility. :confused:
But the IDE seems to work. I can deploy to hardware and debugging is possible, too. So I live with this issue. It's okay. If I find a solution I'll post it here.

That is the problem. Do not install in Program Files. Windows virtualizes accesses to this directory as it is a 'protected' system area. Red Suite needs to be able to write to its installation directory. IIRC you get warned against installing there during the install...

Why don't you just attach a text file with the log contents in it to the thread rather than trying to post the contents of the log file? You could also zip the text file up if it is that big.

The error is because there are certain files that cannot be found (essentially, those referenced by <install>/lpcxpresso/bin/crt_directory.xml

The uninstaller removes all of the product files, but not files that are created by running the product. Any files that remain (including the .lic files) are completely harmless and have nothing to do with your problem.
The drivers are not uninstalled as Microsoft do not provide a (convenient) way for them to be removed. However, they have not changed in over a year, so a fresh install will have no effect. If you really want to remove them (on Windows 7), use Device Manager, find the devices, select their properties a chose the uninstall option. Again this is completely harmless and has nothing to do with your problem.
So, just uninstall you existing product, and use then install the new version.
If this does not solve your problem, zip and post the log file <workspace>/.metadata/.log and post all of your environment variables (run 'set' from the command line, and post the results).

this is not an OS issue. I think the vendors are the NXP controllers.
How can I deinstall completely? The software seems not to deinstall completely. The lic file is still present and the drivers arn't deinstalled. I think if I could deinstall completely it would work again. On my old notebook (Win7 Ultimate 64 Bit too) it's working fine, but I want to use the new one. :)
My actual one:
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit
LPCXpresso Version:
Version: LPCXpresso v4.1.5 [Build 219] [12/12/2011]
Message is shown directly after starting LPCXpresso -> Splash Screen progress is at round about 25% I get this vendor error message.

Millions of Win7 machines are working without problems, so please don't post this nonsense.
A lot of kids are reading this forum and now have to ask their mams and dads why they don't have such XP on their computers :eek:

delete it, then i restart the ide and i try again, and it always
worked. Sometimes i have to switch or create another workspace.

This can only happen if the product failed to install correctly. Please remove and reinstall.
