Hi,

How does one get a password to open the Nichelite examples in the NXP example, "NicheLite LPC Sofware files",

eg LPC1700_Nichelite.zip.

Thanks in advance,

JohnR.

That's looking promising (http://www.oryx-embedded.com/#&panel1-2). Unfortunately no simple LPC1769 sample. But it's supporting DP83848.

Thanks John.

Same story at ST it seems but in trying to find Interniche on their site I came across a list of ST's TCP/IP recommendations which included Oryx who provide a free/licensed TCP/IP stack called CycloneTCP.

I had never heard of this company but I will give their stack a try. Right now I am using a version of UIP but I am not too happy about the protothreads mechanism.

At least we now know the source of the problem and that there's a version for ST also.

Hi R2D2,

I emailed Interniche who responded very quickly with

Quote:

Many years ago, InterNiche licensed that code to NXP for      distribution to its customers  but we have no knowledge of any modifications they have made or      what might be the password required to open the ZIP file.

This seems to one of the many missing links and images on the lpcware website - very frustrating.

I will email Interniche for some more information.

Good idea, AFAIR I was trying to figure out what this free version is on a Sunday last summer. Their homepage wasn't very helpful at all. No downloads, no informations about limits of free version, no pricing...

No - I am not sure at all but, if it is not, you would think that there would be instructions on how to obtain a licence?

I will email Interniche for some more information.

Are you sure that NicheLite is (still) free?

Hi,

I downloaded again with the same result - the file itself opens OK without any password but opening the subdirectories seem to require one.

I put in a dummy password to see  what happens and got the message

Extracting to "C:\Users\John\Downloads\NicheLite LPC Sofware files\NicheLite LPC Sofware files\nichelite.for.lpc17xx.keil\"

Use Path: yes   Overlay Files: no

Skipping C:\Users\John\Downloads\NicheLite LPC Sofware files\NicheLite LPC Sofware files\nichelite.for.lpc17xx.keil\LPC1700_NicheLite.zip: the password is incorrect.

Severe Error:  Bad encryption password.

More suggestions are welcome.

Most likely thing is that your zip file is corrupted
