Hi,
I would work withthe LPC1788 to make a GUI on a LCD (320x240 24bit). I think to use emWin and FreeRTOS, but I have no idea about the difficulties to begin to with those.
I already buy the EA LPC788 board to begin.
Can someone make me a return of experience?

Thank you

There is many samples for lpc1788 and emWin on lpcware.com. I was making some project on FreeRtos and emWIN. It is not difficult. But you should be careful by reserving stack for task that execute gui_exec().

Hi

It's possible to use the GUI and a RTOS, but it's not an easy task. Take a look into this open-source project:

For a simple GUI SWIM may be a better solution:

I wouldnt do it If I were you, I would initially go for display and getting Emwin to work. there is loads of work getting to write your first hello world string onto screen :)

Thank for your reply,
I have the AE LPC1788 board, I agree with you its easy to test some little samples.
But I don't know if it's easy to have FreeRTOS and emWin in the same project.

have you got the 1788 OEM+BASEboard ? you would get some samples with it.
There is a 1788 OEM BSP  which I downloaded from LPCtools I guess, and it will be a easy start.
