LPC1769 Rev A / Rev B

It seems i cannot find  lpcxpresso with LPC1769 in Bulgaria. However there was some company that offers unknown LPC17xx veriosn of the board. Are the difference in the board significant, and is there some official distributor for NXP.

Luis, Bobi,

this thread is bout the lpc1768/69 LPCXpresso board, not the 11u14.
Mixing in other questions that have nothing to do with the original question might confuse the originator of this thread (ehhh... being... :D)

For this once: [I]read[/I]  the Embedded Artists website (I've been looking at the photo too long and almost missed it).

From the datasheet of one of those type of crystals (I found that other crystals have similar specs):

it is wise to fix the crystal in place instead of letting it float on its wires but the crystal withstands most vibrations without a problem.

Rev B has a smd 32kHz crystal instead of the "not vibration proof" one.

The differences between the board are minimal.
The old board has an lpc1768 and a 24aa256 (256 kBit EEPROM) whereas the new board has an lpc1769 and a 24aa64 (64 kBit EEPROM).
RevA and RevB apply to the schematics and boards only, this is not linked to the revision of the lpc17xx chip used.

Please note that Embedded Artists does not guarantee that a certain revision of a chip is being used. According to their FAQ:

If a local vendor stocks chips or boards these could still be old versions.
I've read that somebody just bought a board which still had the R- revision of the chip (the worst bug in the R- version is the RTC problem).
I just bought a batch of lpc1754 chips from Farnell and (YES!) these have an RA marking so RTC works:)

Don't know the differences :), but I think you can't buy a (new) LPCXpresso1768 today. It was sold out for month and then LPCXpresso1769 was sold and is now actual stock product.

I use intermediate company when buy from farnell, and they wasn't very sure, what kind of Xpresso is the one ( the only 17xx ) board at the site.
BTW: is the difference between rev A and B board the microcontroller, or there are twho types of LPCXpresso , with LPC1768 and 1769?
