Dear All,

Some time ago, a thread indicated that a LPC1768 version of the LPCXpresso board was being developed.

Is there any update on when such a board would be available - I for one would be very interested in this.

Unfortunately mbed has no JTAG/SWD connector.

You might also want to consider Code Red's RDB1768 board, which is a perfect complement to the LPCXpresso IDE :)

Embedded Artists (the dev board company behind the LPCXpresso) produce the 'LPCXpresso base board'.

This board has a socket for the LPCXpresso and the LPC1768-based 'mbed' module from ARM:

Maybe that was what you were thinking of?

For my own 1768 Board I just connected 4 wires with LPCXpresso:

-SWCLK
-SWIO
-SWO
-GND

Incredible easy! So don't wait, build your own Board or buy something with JTAG-connector (Serial Wire Debug and JTAG use same pins).

I've been asking this same question. Until there is an official LPCXpresso board I have used the following and it works like a champ! It works great with LPCXpresso IDE.

1) Buy an LPCXpress 1343 board. Cut the traces between the programmer and the development board using an sharp knife. Install jumper pins if you wish so that you can jumper the programmer back over to the development board in the future. You could also just cut the development board off from the programmed but that gets messy.

2) Buy this LPC1768 board for $50.00. http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=9931

3) Connect the programmer to this board using jumper pins between the programmer and the JTAG connector. Use the 0.1 space pins on the programmer NOT the small pins.  The small pins have a weird expensive mateing connector.  Use this pre-made cable as a reference to make your own jumper connections. http://www.embeddedartists.com/products/acc/download/10-to-20_pos_JTAG_adapter.pdf
