Icons have disappeared

When I run LPCXpresso, the Resume, Suspend, Terminate, Step into and Step over icons have all been greyed out, leaving only the Resume-All, Suspend-All and Terminate-All.

How do I make them return?

This is an issue we have seen a few times in the past (though not that much recently), and there are several previous threads on it - for instance :

However it has proved very difficult to replicate, track down and fix.

If you encounter the problem again, generally creating a new workspace and importing your projects across seems to work, as does renaming/moving the following file in your workspace :  .metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.debug.ui
