How to use DEBUGOUT

Please explain how to use DEBUGOUT or simillar in LPCxpresso with LPC link

I read Enabling debug output but it doesn't work - or I don't understand

Is it possible to write some info from C code to LPCxpresso console or the only way is to use UART ?

I use LPC1768 with "lwip_tcpecho_sa" as example.
