How Can I Clean Up Multiple LPXXpresso Setups?

I am on XP Pro SP3.

I have (currently) 5 or 6 installation of various flavours of the LPCXpresso IDE,
including Code Red v3, v5, and RedSuite; NXP v6. I have previously installed and
deleted (some) up to 15 various versions -- V4/V5/RedSuite/V6

It is claimed that the IDE setup does not use the registry (so I should be able to
simply delete the unwanted directories and desktop shortcuts).

BUT, what about the 'Start Menu' and registry 'Uninstall' Items? (I haven't looked yet).
ALSO 'Documents and Setings (all users)' has LPCXpresso, RedSuite5, and NXPLPCXpresso
folders (for the licences?). I'm guessing that I can delete a;; but NXPLPCXpresso?

A much bigger issue is the state of LPC-Link and LPC-Link2 driver stuff.
Even though I obly have ONE LPC-Link and ONE LPC-Link2 device, there are apparently
multiple device entries. [Text and html lists attached.]

Can you provide a tool to COMPLETELY remove all LPC-Link 1/2 from the system and the registry.
And then explain how to reinstall JUST the latest (IDE V6) driver WITHOUT having to reinstall
the V6 setup program.

On Windows XP, the license files are stored in
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%
which is an environment variable whose value is typically "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users"`

The license files are stored in sub-directories:
[list]
  [*]Red Suite 5.x: RedSuite5
  [*]Red Suite 4.x: RedSuite
  [*]Red Suite 3.x: red_suite
  [*]LPCXpresso: LPCXpresso
[/list]

If you are not using the product, just delete the directory.

After a bit of searching, I found this trick to show 'Hidden' devices in Device Manager
http://www.techrepublic.com/article/removing-unused-device-drivers-from-windows-xp-machines/

This provides a way to list 'unused' devices and to uninstall them.

This is an artifact of Windows device drivers. They remain around because XP does not provide a convenient way of removing them (unlike Win7 etc, which does provide a convenient way of removing device drivers).

As you are using XP, I think you will either have to use a 3rd party tool to remove them, or you can try hand editing the registry (not recommended). Sorry,

Edit: BTW, they are benign. They are just occupying a bit of disk space.
