Is there any possibility to run an application without a real hw target using LpcXpresso IDE (i.e. like a simulator)?
If it is not possible, is it possible with RedCode3 IDE?

No, there are still no plans to add support for a simulator to the LPCXpresso IDE.

For very little money, LPCXpresso boards provide much more functionality than a simulator.

Other toolchains do have a simulator - both Keil uVision and CrossWorks have this feature, for instance.
The usability is however limited, except you refrain from using peripherals...

I am interested in a simulator, too.
Are there some plans to integrate it in the future?
It’s because here, at the University, we want to give the students the opportunity to test their programs hat home before they have to go to the laboratory and check if it´s working.
And the lab has only limited places for students.

Sorry, it is no on both questions - there is no simulator. Why do you want one?
