I am new to LPCxpresso, which explains why I have this problem. Any time I create a new project, I always see an entry called "I2C_Test/inc" under the includes, along with the CMSISv2p00_LPC17xx/inc that I expect to see. And it is always grayed out. A while back when I started with LPCxpresso, I had created a project called "I2C_Test", so I must have entered its name somewhere which is causing the new projects to put it under the includes. It has been a while since then and I haven't used LPCxpresso since then, so I just can't figure out what I had changed. I have looked at the Preferences and project settings, but haven't found it yet.
I have attached a screenshot of the Project Explorer, showing the I2C_Test/inc. I have exported the I2C_Test into an archive (.zip file) and removed the project from the workspace, which is why I think the exclamation icon is shown.
I would like to reset whatever is causing this extra includes entry. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. The "LPCOpen" in the project name was a misnomer - I intended to link to CMSIS. Anyway, I have downloaded the LPCOpen 2.1 and also updated the LPCXpresso to 7.5 (was using 6.2). Haven't tried it out yet, but I think I understand how to proceed with the LPCOpen and I don't think I will see the original issue anymore now that I have completely removed the old LPCxpresso files.

Thanks for pointing out the new direction.

Best regards.

Exactly how are you creating new projects : using the "Quickstart -> New project" wizards?

For more details of creating new projects, make sure that you have read the supplied LPCXpresso User Guide, and also watched the "Rapid Embedded Development with LPCXpresso " video at:

One thing I would note is that you are creating a project called 'UART_LPCOpen", yet you appear to be linking this to an old CMSIS project? As detailed in the USer Guide, we would generally advise sticking to using LPCOpen.

If you are are still having problems, please can you export your project and post. And also confirm the version of LPCXpresso being used.
