Hi

This problem started suddenly from one debug session to another:

Breakpoint attribute problem: installation failed

I cannot set breakpoints, although I've been working only with the "debug" release.

It seems to be a problem in the Eclipse's latest release, Indigo. And it also seems to be not fixed so far.

Any ideas?

Hi

This is known problem. The first time it was showed I googled it and I found some workarounds:

Google: Breakpoint attribute problem: installation failed
Aproximadamente 361,000 resultados (0.16 segundos)

It is a known *error message*, but not a known *problem*. From looking through the top hits, AFAICT, they were all due to user misunderstandings, or user error. I can't see ANY that are due to an error in Eclipse.

Hi

I'll wait for the problem to show itself again so I can ask all your questions. Meanswhile:

This is not a known problem. Can you please tell try removing ALL breakpoints in the Breakpoint view, and then recreating them.

If this does not help, please try to provide as much information as possible on how to reproduce. For example
- how are you building your application? Are you using Debug or Release?

I was using "Debug"

- In your workspace, do you have several files with the same name?

Just one main.c

Quote:

- How are you setting the breakpoints?

Double click in the left margin of the source editor.

- Can you post the contents of the 'gdb traces' Console?

ASAP the problem shows up I'll do it, and also I'll try to send you all the information I can gather.

BTW: The latest release of Eclipse is Juno (not Indigo) and LPCXpresso v5 is based on Juno.

My mistake :D
