I have just completed (3 March 2010) the download and installation of the Code Red tools for the LPCXpresso evaluation board. BitDefender found a virus in one of the downloaded elements. I thought NXP, Code Red and the community should be aware of this. BitDefender simply blocked the offending file, C:\nxp\lpcxpresso_3.2\Tools\bin\is_IF26L.tmp . The virus found was Trojan.Peed.IWV.
The downloaded code is running on a Windows XP virtual machine on a MacBook Pro under Mac OSX 10.6.2 (Snow Leopard); the IDE comes up and appears to look as described in the Getting Started guide.
I have an image copy of the virus alert during the Windows installation, but the file is too big to upload. Feel free to contact me directly if you'd like a copy.
