Hello,

I'm a complete newcomer to LPCXpresso and am trying to learn the basics using a very simple evaluation board. The board I have is roughly 137 x 32mm and is marked LPCXpresso LPC1114 REV A on the component side. I don't know exactly how old the board is, but it must be at least 3+ years. The markings on the LPC1114 are:

LPC1114F/302
66.107
ZSD11
081BY
and the NXP logo

I have just installed the LPCXpresso IDE v7.2.0 [Build 153] [2014-05-19]. If I look at the directory:

C:\nxp\LPCXpresso_7.2.0_153\lpcxpresso\Examples\NXP\LPC1000\LPC11xx

I can see three sub-directories:

C:\nxp\LPCXpresso_7.2.0_153\lpcxpresso\Examples\NXP\LPC1000\LPC11xx\LPC11xx_LatestCMSIS_Libraries.zip

C:\nxp\LPCXpresso_7.2.0_153\lpcxpresso\Examples\NXP\LPC1000\LPC11xx\LPC11xx_OldCMSIS_Libraries.zip

C:\nxp\LPCXpresso_7.2.0_153\lpcxpresso\Examples\NXP\LPC1000\LPC11xx\LPCXpresso1114_cmsis2.zip

of which only the third one seems to contain demo projects ("Blinky", etc.)

So my questions are:

1) Am I looking in the right place for the demo projects?

2) If so, will the ones I've found work with the board that I have?

Thanks in anticipation...

Chris.

Just to follow up on the information posted by R2D2…

As a complete newcomer, I would suggest that you make sure that you read the LPCXpresso User Guide (the first 7 chapters anyway). This covers using the tools, as well as having information on examples.

Quickest way to access the user guide is the LPCXpresso menu entry: Help -> LPCXpresso User Guide, but its also included in PDF form in your installation directory.

Ah - thank you R2D2!

I did not know about LPCOpen, now I do.

That *was* in fact the droid I was looking for.

Thanks...

Use LPCOpen for LPC11C24 (same chip, with CAN)...

Yes, they will, but the actual 'supported' Library is LPCOpen...
