I am trying to debug an LPC2212 board using LPCLink, but I get a JTAG error complaining that it is unable to find 'IR Length' . I have attached a snapshot of the error.

Meanwhile, I have successfully managed to debug an LPC2478 & LPC2148 board using LPCLink where it was able to detect the JTAG chain as shown in the attachment.

Can somebody help me decode the meaning of this error and how to go about fixing it?

This error is normally caused by either:
- your JTAG is not wired up correctly (most likely)
- the MCU has got into a non debuggable state.
