Hi,

I am looking for information about security on LPC5512 because I read in the reference manual that LPC5512/LPC5514/LPC5516 do not have SecureBoot, TrustZone, PUF controller, HASH_AES, CASPER and PRINCE.

What can I set to secure my device?

I apologize for misinterpreting your inquiry.

You are correct. The LPC5512 does not support the mentioned security features. That said, all LPC55xx devices have Protected Flash Region, which includes Customer Development Lifecycle states. These states provide mechanisms to block security options on the CMPA and close the debug ports/ISP commands. You can find more information about how to do this on Chapter 10 of the User Manual.

I hope this helps,

Edwin.

Hi,
I have read these documents, but they only describe protection for LPC55Sxx, not LPC55xx. I want to secure my LPC5512 chip.
I have downloaded elftosb-gui and MCUXpresso Secure Provisioning.
In the dedicated elftosb-gui I can select LPC55xx and LPC55S1x. I am guessing that LPC55xx only applies to LPC55S2x, LPC55S0x and LPC55S6x?
I see in the MCUXpresso Secure Provisioning application that I can only secure the LPC55Sxx device.
Are there any ways to secure LPC55xx devices?

Thanks
Grzegorz

Hi @GrzegorzM

Please refer to AN12283 “LPC55Sxx Secure Boot”, and AN12278 “LPC55S00 Security Solutions for IoT”. These two app notes will prove to be very useful to your inquiry. Let me know if you require more information.

BR,

Edwin.
