LPC54005 SPIFI boot

On an LPC54005, does the SPIFI boot ROM assume there is an external xtal?

Reason for asking is that my board will not boot, and the lack of xtal is the only difference I can see between my board and the development board.

Found the problem, SPIFI device not programmed correctly.However I did find that the MCUXpresso SPIFI driver will fail to initialize without a crystal, so you do need a crystal to debug.

Hi Michael,

If you look in the reference manual in the section 3.4.3 SPIFI boot mode it mention the steps need it, what you could check is the image header and see if its valid or not.
