HI RoyJ
It's right LPC1766FBD100,551 has been EOL, LPC1766FBD100K is the replacement.
From LPC1766FBD100,551 to LPC1766FBD100K, the only difference is packing format (from tray to brick). inside is the same. that's to say, the chip itself is the same.
Have a nice day

Hello Jennie,
Thank you for your kindly reply!
One more question need consult you. Can we use LPC1769FBD100,551 replace LPC1766FBD100,551?
It seems all parameter same except memory size (alternative have larger memory size), so we can switch
to use LPC1769FBD100,551 and no need change firmware, right?

I think a re-build for the new MCU will be required.
Hello Frank,
So you means I can't use the same Hex file for the alternative? that's will be a problem for me.
You will need to try. Perhaps it works, but as other threads here show, there is a good chance it does not.
> that's will be a problem for me.
Could be worse. Perhaps you should have checked to projected lifetime more closely when planning for a project. My company has similar problems with Fujitsu stuff, only there is no similar and compatible replacement.
Hi RoyJ
These two parts are pin to pin replacement. no need change firmware as well.
The main differences are, LPC1769 has higher maximal CPU Frequency(120MHz) and larger memory size(512KB)
Have a nice day,

Hello Jennie,
Do we need to re-build the firmware when we change the MCU from LPC1766FBD100,551 to the alternative(LPC1769FBD100,551)?
That designations sound very similar, which lead me to believe you could expect an EOL message for this alternative type soon.
But you would need to contact NXP or an official distributor directly - this is not tha type of info given in a public forum like this.
