LPC11E68 QEI Emulation Using SCTimer

Hello. 

I need a QEI peripheral to realize an accurate 32 bit count from a quadrature encoder but my processor LPC11E68 does not have a QEI peripheral.  Is this possible with the SCTimer, and if so, how?

Hello mikenn,

I think yes, you can add logical XOR gate , together with SCTIMER to make a quadrature encoder.

There is an application using  PLU and SCTIEMR , you can have a look at the theory, replace PLU with XOR gate.
