Interfacing GPS and compass with LPC4337

Hello all,
I want to interface GPS and compass with LPC4337 and the General Purpose Shield. Since I have used the LPC board as the base for the Shield, there aren't any GPIO pins. So could any one please tell me how to interface the GPS and compass which works on UART and I2C respectively.

You can pick up I2C connectivity on the PMod expansion connector (J3).

The FTDI UART connection can be used for a UART connection, provided that you dont need hardware handshake. Note that if you do this you will not be able to use the VCOM port.
