I2C Example lpc1769 board

Hi,

i tried to run the periph_i2c example, which is included in the lpcopen_2_10_lpcxpresso_nxp_lpcxpresso_1769 data file. I am using the lpc1769 board, the base board and the lpcxpresso IDE, Debugging runs well but i don't get the main menu displayed on tera term. Has someone the same problem and can help me with this.

Hi,

i think i found the reason why the program doesn't run. I use the lpcopen_2_07_lpcxpresso_nxp_lpcxpresso_1769 release and this example runs well. Befor that i used release lpcopen_2_10_lpcxpresso_nxp_lpcxpresso_1769 and it doesn't run. So the error lies in the release software 2_10.
However now its running, but when i want do connect a device, should i connect this to the base board or to the lpc1769?

Jumper J7 are all connected. I have tried to run the periph_uart_rb and it runs well. And i can see the menu displayed in tera term. But when i run the periph_i2c it doesn't work. I also connected the pc to RxD and TxD signals, but i don't get a signal in tera term when starting the periph_i2c.

Hi Alexander,
Check jumper J7 on baseboard. By default it All three should be connected. If it does not solve your problem, just probe RxD and TxD signals of FT232 as well as output signals DP and DM.

Have you tried a loop-back test to see if your com port is working?
Is the port setup for 8n1 and the correct baudrate?

The baseboard has a lot of jumpers. I would definitely double check the jumper settings.

Hi,

i have already install FTDI drivers. I open the COM port which is connected to the X3 interface. I really don't know why this main menu isn't displayed. When i am debugging the program runs well and the main is showing "Running User Request".

Hi Alexander,
Did you open correct COM port on your PC? You may also need to install FTDI drivers.

I just started playing with this example a few minutes ago. I see the menu display just fine. I'm not using the baseboard though. I connected straight to the TX3/RX3 pins.
