Disabling CMSIS-DAP interface on LPCXpresso 1769 board

Hi,

I am working on LPCXpresso 1769 board with CMSIS-DAP. When the board is powered through USB it is shown as USB Serial device in windows device manager. I want to disable CMSIS-DAP support. The board schematic suggests to short JP3 to disable CMSIS-DAP interface. I tried shorting JP3 but the board is still recognized as USB Serial device as CMSIS-DAP is still enabled.  

I want to write a firmware for the board to implement custom USB HID device. My firmware is not working because of CMSIS-DAP being enabled. 

Please help me to resolve the problem or help me if my understanding is wrong. Do I need to short JP3 to disable CMSIS-DAP?

Hello, my name is Pavel, and I will be supporting your case.

I reviewed the information on the schematic.

And I find this that maybe you are refer. When the JP3 is active the LPC11U35FHI33 the debugger (that still work as expected) could not be use this to communicate with the LPC1769 instead of that will need to use an external debugger.

But the JP3 allow external debugger to be connected on the red SWD interface.
