Convert to gray

Hi

I'm using the LPC1788 with a 16 bpp Color TFT display.

Is it somehow possible to get the LCD controller to convert the colors to gray scale?

Or do I need to convert the colors elsewhere. GUI or framebuffer?

Hi Thomas,

LPC178x MCUs include gray scale algorithms for STN displays only.  This provides 15 gray scales for monochrome displays.

Unfortunately, we do not have any gray scaler for TFT displays. In order to convert the colors you may use an external IC.
