In some cases, the CMSIS library in the GIT repo may be later than what's available on the download (resources tab) page.

As of now - and this will change in time - the download page shows version 12302011 available, while the GIT repo shows the latest version at 01312012.
So the GIT version contains updates that are not yet on the version on the download page, although these will be sync'd.

If you look closely the the link on the download page, you'll notice it simply links to a specific version in the GIT repo.

You can always get a 'snapshot' of the latest code using the GIT repo's snapshot link on the latest entry in the repo. Ot you can just use the link below.
