Hello Ken Maitland:

The KSDK mainline includes support for a range of Kinetis MCU families excepting those of the Standalone versions.

The KSDK standalone versions are packages released after the mainline version targeted for a specific Kinetis development board or Kinetis family, whose support for some reason did not make it to the release of the mainline version (e.g. time constraints, hardware not ready yet or tests not completed).

All of the standalone packages are based on a specific KSDK version such as the mainline packages, so all of the software layers are compatible with that version (drivers, HAL, stacks, etc.).

I hope this helps clarifying.

Regards!
