Walkthrough/Tutorial for FRDM-K64F with Kinetis IDE

I had recently bought FRDM-K64F board and was able to run the examples shown in mbed. I have Kinetis IDE installed and am interested in using Kinetis IDE for programming. Is there a step-by-step tutorial with an example? I have tried and failed in compiling any of the kinetis sdk app codes. The lack of good support page is frustrating. An easily accessible resource and clear step by step guide for Kinetis IDE for FRDM-K64F will be greatly appreciated. I am new user to Freescale microcontrollers and my experience so far as not been good.

when i connect frdm-k64 f microcontroller the disk drive appears and suddenly disappears continuously ?

In this case what are the things I have to do to use the drive?
