Hi XingChang,

As per the KW36 datasheet attached, the transmitter output power can be configured from -30 dBm to +3.5 dBm.

Please let us know the parameter needs to be set to configure the transmitter output power.

Thanks,

Regards,

Naven Suresh

Hi nsuresh2@visteon.com‌,

Add the following 2 MACROs in the file preinclude.h. The relationship between the set value and the transmit power can be calculated by the following table.

#define mAdvertisingDefaultTxPower_c 20

#define mConnectionDefaultTxPower_c 20

      0x0028 = 40, so if the setting value is 20, the Tx power is 0.3dBm at 25 ℃.

Hi XingChang‌,

Thanks for your quick response.

So as mentioned above both the macros are enabled and set to the default value of 20

When we measure the power it shows -2.39 dBm at room temperature, but as per the above table it should be 0.3 dBm

What could be the reason for this? Any other parameters that need to be looked into this for power deviation?

Thanks!

Regards,

Naven Suresh

Hi nsuresh2@visteon.com‌,

The transmit power we measured at the PIN of the chip, if you measure from the SMA, your measurement is reduced by the RF line loss. This is usually around 1dBm, but your loss is a bit big. Please check if the matching network is suitable.
