TWR-K60N512 how to flash - beginner question

Hello all,

at the moment i try to get familiar with the TWR-K60N512 & the eclipse based CodeWarrior Version. I have installed the necessary drivers as described in TWRK60N512_QuickStartDemoLAB.pdf. If i connect the tower system and try to flash a sample project (helloworld, mqx or fnet as example) the erasing and flashing process seems to be working fine (finished without erros).

After a reset of the tower system there is still the previous running demo application. Is there any jumper or something like that which protects the flash memory to be written?

Best Regards,

flo

Hi

There are no jumpers to protect memory.

Check that you are building a target that is located in Flash. It may be that the target that you are testing is loading to RAM, which would mean that it can run (when there is enough RAM available for it) but the original Flash based code is still operating after a reset.

Note also that CW10.2 has a Flash utility built in to it while also allows any file on the PC (binary or HEX) to be loaded to Flash. You can get pre-built examples for your board here: http://www.utasker.com/SW_Demos.html

Regards

Hi,

thx for your reply. The flashing process works. I have tested it with the pre-built uTasker binary. E1 is blinking now (as described on your page). The ethernet connection doesn't work - should there be a shell or something like that on the serial port? I have tried to get output from the TWR-SER and the virtual serial interface without success.

Jumper:

CPU Board

J1 - connected

J2 - not connected

J6 - 2 and 3 connected

J8 - connected

J9 - 2 and 3 connected

J10 - not connected

J12 - connected

J16 - not connected

TWR-SER

J2 - 3 and 4 connected

J3 - 2 and 3 connected

J10 - 1 and 2 connected

J12 - 9 and 10 connected

J15 - 1 and 2 connected

J17 - 1 and 2 connected

J19 - 1 and 2 connected

Regards,

flo
