Software Examples TWR-K65 ?

Hi,

are there any software examples for the TWR-K65 available ?

Especially I would like to have an example for the external SDRAM to evaluate the memory performance.

Some examples regarding the the I/D-Cache configuration would also be very nice :smileyhappy:

Where can I find them?

You can download the latest KSDK v1.2. It comes with many examples for TWR-K65.

In particular for SDRAM, the application note AN5095 comes with a software package AN5095SW using the SDRAM controller with the On-board SDRAM memory.

Thanks for your answer.

But as i see, the examples in the KSDK do NOT cover the external RAM in on the TWR-K65 module.

AN5095SW seems to be prepared for IAR EWARM. This is also far from good because we don't use proprietary toolchains.

Also, the AN5095SW is a FlexBus example where the external memory bus is in an other configuration than on the TWR-K65 module. Or am I missing something?

where is your application note repository where I can find more examples for TWR-K65 ?

could one of you freescale people please upload a KDS example project just doing the basic setup of the onboard SDRAM on the TWR-K65 board?

Hello Peter:

The demo available for SDRAM in TWR-K65 is the one from AN5095 which I mentioned before. Even if not using IAR you can take the SDRAM initialization code as reference for your custom project.

I have somehow made the AN5095 example compile with KDS. And the SDRAM behaves differently than in my Processor Expert experiment.

If it is of any interest, I can upload the KDS project.

Now I have to somehow find the differences.... :smileysad:

PS: the example you provide is worthless since the evaluation license of IAR does not allow to compile inline assembly parts. Hope you are aware of this and keep your pace towards open tools upright!
