I am still in the process of choosing a replacement for the LPC1224FBD64. I think to choose MKE15Z256VLH7. In the table https://www.nxp.com/products/product-information/product-longevity:PRDCT_LONGEVITY_HM#products1 I verify that this chip has a life expectancy until 2031 and that is an important aspect for me in the renewal of this project . Within this range there are others with better life expectancy? On the other hand, this Kinetis has already proven itself and is there adequate literature for its programming?
Another concern is regarding future developments that may be dependent on the future of NXP regarding possible mergers with other companies. From what I could see, the Kinetis were developed by FreeScale, in other words, will this be a line to continue?
