MKL27Z256 Low supply?

Hi,

Is there a current shortage of MKL27z256VHL4? A friend of mine tried to get some PCBs made with that MCU, and the PCB fab said they couldn't locate the MCU in China? It also seems farnell isn't stocking it anymore, and quite low supplies at other places.

Is there some issue with it? I'm just wondering if I should use it for my next design, or pick a different MCU.

They can Buy Direct MKL27Z256VLH4.

 Or from these distributor:

You don't need to pick different MCU, there is no issue with it. And the KL27Z256 is Hot Product.
