Hi,

can I drive a color TFT display glass directly from kinetis without using an external frame buffer and controller (without controller like Solomon
Systech SSD1289) and with low cpu intervention?
In other word can I implement a display controller using flexbus and DMA (or in any other way)?

in other word again can I do how PIC32 do in this app note ( AN1387 http://www.microchip.com/stellent/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&nodeId=1824&appnote=en554992 )?

thanks,

AlexGiov

Hi

I suspect that the Kinetis can be used in a similar way to the microchip example but it may be better to use a K70, with integrated LCD controller since this will be optimally efficient:

Hello Mark,

thaks for your answer.

The K70 it's the best choice to do what I want, but it's too expensive for the application I working for.
The target price for MCU in my application it's about 5euros.

To do somethings like microchip application: which MCS's pheripheral can I use? is it the Flexbus and DMA the best chocie? (this post it's related with the other https://community.freescale.com/thread/104002

give me some suggestions please...

Best regards
