I'm a newbie in Tower System. Now I want to use K60 with a dot lcd in my project. I find there’s no LCD in K60 kit. I want to know if I can add TWR-LCD to the K60 kit for development? And are there any graphic libs for use?
Thanks in advance.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Yes, you can use the K60 with the tower LCD module and drive it over the flexbus interface, have a look at the demo video here of the alpha s/w http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FogsMTp1-Mc
There is a free GUI driver called eGUI which will be released for the Kinetis in the next month or so, more info here http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/prod_summary.jsp?code=EGUI&fsrch=1&sr=3

Hi, Freegeek,
Thank you very much for your reply.
Would you please tell me when MQX will be integrated with Codewarrior supporting K60? And what's the ultimated date that eGUI will be released for the Kinetis?
Thanks!
Michael,
We expect MQX 3.7 with Kinetis CodeWarrior support and the release of eGUI with MQX and Kinetis support to both be available by the first week of April.

Good news. Hope it available ASAP.
Thank you very much, mnorman4!
Hi
See also the following: http://www.utasker.com/docs/KINETIS/uTaskerV1.4_Kinetis_demo.pdf
Note that there is a problem with the Flexbus sharing with IR interface on the first Kinetis tower boards, which otherwise stops the TFT from working - the workaround is explained in the document.
Also see the TFT display operating here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdtRyQ-2IrE (this is with Kirin3 board but the Kinetis does the same)
Regards
Mark
Mark,
Thanks a lot for your reminding.
I have found the explanation in the document, and will study further.
Have a nice day!
