Dear Forumers, NXP staff!

I've experieneced during the recent months a sharp drop in the stocks of MK64/MK66 microcontrollers, hence I've faced with the problem that I cannot finish my designs because the neccessary microcontrollers are not available to be buyed.

The mentioned micros:

MK64FN1M0VLQ12 and the 100 pin variant

MK66FN2*         144 pin variant

On the NXP site I found that these chips are in active state, and have a projected longevity for minimum 7 years from now. My question is that, are these microcontrollers are still in production?

Best regards,

Kalman

Hi Roth,

Yes these product are still in product. In fact, these product is base on NXP's new platform. They are widely welcomed and will have a long life. But currently, we are facing some shortage problem. The Kinetis related product shortage was caused by GLOBALFOUNDRIES C90TFS technology product shortage. NXP continue to work with GLOBALFOUNDRIES to increase supply for C90TFS technical products.
If your product are still in develop, and you need a few sample chip. You can buy it on www.digikey.com or www.mouser.com. Or you can book samples on www.nxp.com. But if you are in mass product, I have to say sorry that the leadtime is 38~39 week. Customers are encouraged to change to LPC series MCU if possible.

Regards,

Jig
