Kinetis K64 PLL CLKOUT duty cycle

Hi all,

I would like to use Kinetis K64 CLKOUT pin (PTA6 Alt5) to clock an external device.

I'm using an external 50MHz clock oscillator to feed K64 internal PLL, and I can configure SIM_SOPT2->CLKOUTSEL to select the desired clock source (ex. FlexBus clock).

My question is:

What is the min/max duty cycle specification of that CLKOUT? In the MCG-PLL section of K64 datasheet there is no information about that.

Regards,

Marco

Hello Marco,

The CLKOUT pin is usually used to monitor the internal clocks and it’s not recommended to use it to drive an external component. Perhaps this is why there are no details on the duty cycle specification for CLKOUT.

My apologies for the inconvenience.

Regards,
Gustavo
