KV5x is a great microcontroller family started by Freescale. I would like to know if NXP has plans to continue this family by adding more chips? With USB for example.
Another point is that KV5x has 240MHZ, 4 ADCs, 4 PWMs and only one encoder interface! Most Microntroller for Motor control has at least two encoders modules.
When the MKV56F512VLL24 will be available at distribuitors or at NXP store? What is the price for 10K units for this chip?

Thanks for the feedback on KV5x. It is good to hear that the devices we work so hard on are appreciated.
As for the encoder though, KV5x does have support for at least two encoders. There is only one dedicated encoder module, and I agree that it would be good to have another. But the encoder module is complemented by two 2-channel FTM instances which both provide support for an encoder. So depending on what encoders you choose for your design, you could simply use the two 2-channel FTM modules for encoders, or you could use a combination of the encoder module plus the FTM modules. So I hope you are able to find that a little more useful. :smileyhappy:
