K70 - LCD - max portrait resolution

Hello,

What is the maximum resolution for a portrait TFT driven by a K70 (MK70FN1M0VMJ15) ?

The K70 Sub-Family Reference Manual indicates : Maximum resolution of 800 × 600.

but... the document "Configuring the K70 LCDC Using TWR-LCD-RGB" shows (p.8) an example with a Active frame height of 800.

I would like to interface a portrait LCD 480 x 800, would it be possible ??

LCDC_LSR : XMAX = 480/16 = 30

LCDC_LSR : YMAX = 800

Hi Arnaud,

  Yes, a 480x800 LCD is possible. In fact during early development of that was the original resolution of the TWR-LCD-RGB, so I can confirm that resolution will definitely work. The 800x600 number is based on bandwidth requirements. The actual max for any one direction is determined by the LCDC_LSR XMAX and YMAX fields.
