Is there a Kinetis Development board with a CAN Controller on it?

I'm trying to qual out some CAN software for a project we're doing with a K10 device..... Was looking at using one of the K20 dev boards.

FRDM-K22F - contains a MK22FN512VLH12  which according to http://cache.freescale.com/files/microcontrollers/doc/ref_manual/K22P121M120SF7RM.pdf  doesn't list a CAN Controller.

FRDM-KL26Z - contains a MKL26Z128VLH4 which does have a CAN (per http://cache.freescale.com/files/microcontrollers/doc/data_sheet/KL26P64M48SF5.pdf)

FRDM-K64F-  contains a mk64fn1m0vll12  which does not have a CAN.

I can't find a tower one that has it either........

Suggestions appreciated.....

Hi,

You can check which Kinetis devices has CAN controller using the Freescale Parametric Search by selecting Kinetis Microcontrollers and check CAN on the Serial Interface Type Box.

As Mark mentioned you will be able to use a TWR module with a Kinetis device supporting CAN using the CAN transceiver available on the TWR-SER  system module:

Probably the KEA128 device fits on your requirements please check the information about it. The TRK-KEA128 board has a CAN connector on it and there is no necessity of an extra module.

Thanks all! As with life, the more options you have the more complicated things get....... I ended up getting the TWR boards.

If you get a tower kit with serial board there is the CAN transceiver on it. Any tower microprocessor board with a CAN controller (in the Kinets) will connect to it.

As long as the chip on the Freedom boards has a CAN controller in it and the GPIOs used are connected to the headers yiou can add a CAN transceiver to it too.
