It seems that the stack installed by the "Kinetis KW40Z Connectivity Software" must be compiled in IAR...
but IAR EWARM is very expensive...
Is there a way to develop in Kinetis Design Studio?
Thanks also for any explanation of this choice.

Hi,

Actually the reason that the KDS does not support the "Kinetis KW40Z Connectivity Software" is beause the BLE stack is not supported. Unfortunately there are no plans for having the KDS supporting the BLE stack, so the only IDE supported right now is IAR Workbench.
