Hello Hauro,

if you say about OpenSDAv2 line, do you use the correct connecter?

FRDM-K64F connecter is an opposite side of FRDM-KL25Z or FRDM-K20D50M.

I've not tried to use USB on the FRDM-K64F before, but there's some confusion about what you're trying to do.  Most likely, you want the FRDM-K64F to look like a device to Windows when you plug it in, but it won't unless you actually program it first with an application that has the USB stack installed.  If you just plug in a new board, it won't do anything.  First you have to do what Alice suggested, which is to install the Segger OpenSDA firmware, or P&E, or similar.  Then you will need to write your firmware in KDS (and probably Processor Expert) to add a USB stack.  I'm sure it's much more complicated than that, even...

I did it

I had installed 0220_k20dx128_k64f_0x5000.bin firmware , I wrote my firmware adding a USB_LDD in project , this program is running on board and now I would like use K64f USB line not OpenSDA line like a Windows device …. But Windows can’t detect it and my confusion is great

Hello Mauro,

Do you mean can not connect the FRDM-k64 board ?

If yes , please update the bootloader :

(1) Unplug the USB cable if attached.

(2) Press and hold the Reset button (SW1). Plug in a USB cable . Release the Reset button.

(3)  Copy & paste  "JLink_OpenSDA_V2.bin" ( the attachment)  to the BOOTLOADER drive.

(4)Unplug the USB cable and plug it in again.

Then in the manage of computer ,  you will see :

Hi

In order to detect the K64 USB line you need to have USB device software running on the board - do you have something installed?

Try binaries from http://www.utasker.com/kinetis/FRDM-K64F.html

to verify that your board is operating correctly.
