How to get into bootloader mode ( with a MKL27Z128VLH4 )

Hi! I have a circuit with a MKL27Z128VLH4, and have a hard time understanding the logic to get it into bootloader mode.

The manual http://www.nxp.com/assets/documents/data/en/reference-manuals/KL27P64M48SF6RM.pdf

states: "When FTFA_FOPT[BOOTPIN_OPT] = 0, it forces boot from ROM if NMI/BOOTCFG0 pin set to 0."

Unfortunately, this is not the case. I have BOOTPIN_OPT as "0" (enabled), and when I pull NMI_b down to

GND, the circuit stays in application mode, and does not turn into bootloader mode. What am I missing here?

Hi Kicad1978,

   If your BOOTPIN_OPT=0, RESET_PIN_CFG=1, NMI_DIS=1, BOOTSRC_SEL=00.

You can try to press the NMI to gnd, press the reset pin, release the NMI pin, try to connect the KL27 with ROM bootloader.

Please follow my advice, then try again.

If you still have question, please let me know!

Have a great day,
Kerry
