How to achieve one microsecond delay in K-64 micro controller using KDS IDE?

In Firmware we are allowing the clock running with 80MHz and we are using an external 8MHz crystal on our board.Still, we couldn't able to achieve the 1us delay. The red LED can toggle every 1us, test the pit demo in SDK_2.2_FRDM-K64F. (...\SDK_2.2_FRDM-K64F\boards\frdmk64f\driver_examples\pit)
