Flash access control deprecated function. Alternate possibility to protect proprietary code

Dear Madam, Dear Sir,

I search a way to protect proprietary code in NXP MCU. I was thinking of using flash access control mechanism to perform this requirement but, according  to KV31F reference manual rev 5, this mechanism is declared deprecated.

Questions:

Is there a way or workaround to perform proprietary code protection (code Execution only)?

Are there any MCU, IMX RT that present this capability to perform execute code only?

Regarding NXP product selector, IMXRT1064CVJ5A features flash access control, but reading datasheet and reference manual, I didn't find any information relative to this functionality.

Is flash access control mechanism for execute only code implemented in IMXRT1064?

Are there any other MCU that feature flash access control in NXP MCU portfolio?

Thank a lot for your feedback any any suggestion that could help me.

Best regards

Hi @BrunoSimonnet

On the documment Mask Set Errata for Mask 0N50M, on the errata e50117 you find the workaround "Do not program the XACCn registers to use the FAC feature".

Let me know if this works for you.

Best Regards, Miguel.

I don't think this is a workaround, since it states that the FAC is deprecated.

Does the new family of IMXRT have any execute-only feature like the FAC?
