FRDM-KL25Z as USB-CDC Host

Dear Community,

I am trying to communicate from the FRDM-KLZ board with a CDC-USB device as a standalone solution. So far I only found information on how to implement it as a USB device rather than USB host. I would appreaciate any help.

Hi Dominik-san,

I think that FRDM-KL25Z board does not support USB host feature. To work USB host, you might modify the board. Please refer to

However I have not tried them. I'm sorry if it was not helpful.

Freescale provides USB Stack V4.1.1 includes KL25 USB CDC host example code.

Please download USB Stack v4.1.1 from below link:

And the KL25 USB CDC Host example located at default path:

C:\Freescale\Freescale USB Stack v4.1.1\Source\Host\examples\cdc_serial\iar_ew\kinetis_l2k
