FRDM-KE02Z40M  Dev PCB

I’m try to use the SWD Connector J7

to program the MKE02Z64VQH4 Processor

with a PE Multiilink Universal.

I have removed R35. (That shorts the J5 ‘TGTMCU RST’ Jumper)

I think R58 (SWD CLK link) resistor needs to remain

I’m using Keil MDK v5.27

I’m powering the board via J6 (Open SDA USB connector)

But no joy.

Are any other changes required?

Hi Kerry,

Answer to your question:-

Do you want to use the external PE Multilink Universal to debugger your FRDM-KE02Z40M on board KE02 chip?

Answer:-  Yes I want to use external PE Multilink to program and debug FRDM-KE02Z40M on board KE02 chip.

===================================================================================

I have not removed R58.

I have only removed R35.

I have inserted FRDM-KE02Z40M  Issue A Schematic image below.   (I believe I have Issue B  FRDM-KE02Z40M  PCB)

Removing R35 breaks the connection between RST_TGTMCU  and   SDA_RST_TGTMCU.

Many thanks for your prompt response.

Hi Gerge,

Actually, from my own experience, even the R35, you also don't need to remove it.

Do you try to connect it with your external debugger? what the problem you are meeting now?

Have a great day,
Kerry

Hi George,

Please help to check your question.

Do you want to use the external PE Multilink Universal to debugger your FRDM-KE02Z40M on board KE02 chip?

If yes, you can't remove R58, R58 will connect the J7 to the on board KE02 chip.

You don't need to modify the board, just connect your external Multilink Universal to your J7 and try to connect it is OK.

Wish it helps you.

Have a great day,
Kerry
