FRDM-K66F Run @180MHz

Hi,

I am running RRDM-K66F MCU at 120MHz and everything is working fine.

For now, I am trying to run it at 180MHz.

Can anybody tell me if there is any potential issue with the high speed?

Thanks,

Christie

Hi @a8Chcx,

There shouldn't be any issues, as the 180MHz frequency is still within the operating ranges of the MK66 MCU.

BR,
Edwin.

Hi Edwin,

I checked the document and says there is the restriction for flash programming and erasing for high speed. Does it means I can't do the flash programming and erasing?

If I want to do the flashing programming and erasing, I have to switch to slower speed?

Thanks,

Christie

Hi Edwin,

It is on section 8.7 of "K66P144M180SF5RMV2" manal.

The flash memory on this device should not be programmed or erased while operating in
High Speed Run or VLPR power modes.

Thanks,

Christie

Hi @a8Chcx,

Thanks for clarifying. Yes, this is a restriction on the HSRUN (180MHz) mode. If I want to do the flashing programming and erasing, you have to switch to a lower speed.

BR,
Edwin.
