I read on the documentation provided online that it does have a CAN module, but could not find any information about whether it has a CAN transceiver or not?

Or do i need to buy one separately?

Hi Antonio

U7 on the board is the SN65HVD230D (Can transceiver), connecting the CAN_TX/CAN_RX lines to J11.

This chip is mounted on the board but J11 is not, therefore you just need to add the three pin (0.1") header to use it.

Mark

Thank you for the quick response,

So just to be sure, there´s a CAN transceiver and a CAN controller integrated in the microcontroller right?

Hi Antonio:

The KE06Z MCU only has CAN controller, no transceiver.

But Frdm-ke06z has a transceiver, U7, as mark mentioned.

Daniel
