Hi,

I would like to know if there are any significant electrical and mechanical differences between NXP Kinetis MK20DN512ZVLQ10 and NXP Kinetis MK20DN512VLQ10.

A long time ago we developed several firmwares for NXP Kinetis MK20DN512ZVLQ10 - are these source codes fully compatible with NXP Kinetis MK20DN512VLQ10?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Michele

Hi Michele,

These source codes are not fully compatible with NXP Kinetis MK20DN512VLQ10.
For the difference please refer: AN4445 Kinetis® K 100MHz Rev 1.x to Rev 2.x Migration Guide (REV 1)

Best Regards,
Robin

@mickibiz

I bellieve the short answer to your question is "yes" they are compatible - just looking up the parts, the MK20DN512ZVLQ10 is noted as "Not recommended for new designs".

Regardless, doing a quick scan of the distributors, it doesn't look like any of the MK20DN512VLQ10 are available and there doesn't seem any date on when they will become available so the more important question may be what 144 pin Kinetis parts *are* available or will be available soonest - which will mean changes to your software and maybe hardware.

Stupid Covid.
