Debug port for MK10DX128VLF5

Hi,

We are using AMBE-4020 HDK eval baord. On board we have an MK10DX128VLF5 (K10) to control the AMBE-4020 (vocoder). We have a custom code and we wants to test the application on the MK10DX128VLF5. 

So, the question is the MK10DX128VLF5 have any debug port (JTAG) to run the application? If yes, which emulator I've to connect?

Hi,

As per my research, I found Universal Multilink Development Interface and link is https://www.nxp.com/products/power-management/motor-and-solenoid-drivers/powertrain-and-engine-contr... and please find the imageDebugger.PNG

So, there is telling that It's compatible with K10. But When we checked the K10 schematic Voltage source is 1.8V, but in the Universal Multilink Development Interface schematic it's 5 or 3.3V. So, can we keep some circuit to match with K10. Please find the attached reference figure.debugger_comparisions.png

And one more question is, if I'll use above debugger, can I use CodeWarrior to connect the target board (k10)

Hello,

The universal multilink FX is the only one that can supply power. If you want to use the universal multilink you can provide manually the 1.8v to your target.

I recommend those which are cheaper, MCU-LINK or MCU-LINK-PRO.

Both debuggers has support for the k10.

Hello, 

The AMBE-4020 HDK is from a third-party vendor, I suggest reviewing the schematic from that vendor, the MK10 has an SWD interface and is located in the pin in the image below. pin 26 RESET_b.

For flash this part I recommend use MCU Link JTAG/SWD Debug Probe | NXP Semiconductors.
