Hi @prathamesh_h_patil ,

Yes, LPSPI can support QUAD SPI flash. You can refer to this link

https://community.nxp.com/t5/i-MX-RT/LPSPI-how-to-set-for-QSPI-flash-device/m-p/1177734

Unfortunately, we don't have any example of the LPSPI interfacing an external flash.

Jing

Thanks For confirmation.

Can you please share its QPSI frequency?

and what it support Like Single Data Rate (SDR) or Double Data Rate  (DDR)?

Hi @prathamesh_h_patil ,

Please see table 56 in datasheet. Frequency of operation can be max to fperiph/2.The max fperiph is from SPLLDIV2. So, max frequency is 168/2/2=42Mhz.

LPSPI doesn't support DDR.

Jing

Thanks for information,

Q1. Could you please share Application note for Quad SPI for Flash memory?

Q2. Does MKE14F512VLL16 controller has restriction on particular make Quad Flash memory should use or it is free for any make quad flash?

Q3. Can MKE14F512VLL16 support SPI based Graphical LCD? if yes please share example.

Hi @prathamesh_h_patil ,

A1. No, there isn't.

A2. I think it is free for any QSPI flash.

A3. Yes, it can. But there isn't example.

Dear NXP team,

As per the MKE14F512VLL16 datasheet supply voltage is 2.7V to 5.5V, so the question is if we use 3.3V as supply then is it okay for all operations, or else do we need to connect the 5V power supply.

Kindly check and suggest which supply is better for controller performance 3.3V or 5V?

Hi @prathamesh_h_patil ,

Either 3.3v or 5v is okey. You can freely determine VDD according to peripheral circuit. There is no difference in performance.

Jing

Dear NXP team,

If my supply of the controller is 3.3V then can I connect the 5V peripheral signal to controller and Vice versa?

Please confirm it.

Hi @prathamesh_h_patil ,

No, you'd better don't design like that.
