CAN functionality in TWR-K21F120M

Hello,

Does the TWR-K21F120M have CAN functionality? It is not mentioned in the quick start guide or the user manual. But the K21 chip with 120MHz has CAN in its datasheet. So does the tower board have CAN or not?

Also, I am planning to buy a tower board or the first time. What is the difference between OSJTAG and OpenSDA on the FRDM boards ?

Do I have to buy the Elevator module also to use the tower module?

Thanks

Hello Pratiek Bhadranavar:

Yes, the TWR-K21F120M has a K21FN1M0 part, which has CAN module integrated.

If you are planning on using CAN, then the Tower System (TWR-K21F120M + TWR-SER + TWR-ELEV) would be very useful, since the TWR-SER board has a CAN transceiver embedded.

Regarding OSBDM and OpenSDA, please check the answer provided by colleague Erich Styger in the next discussion:

What is difference between OpenSDA and OSBDM?

:smileyinfo: Just notice that Erich was talking about OpenSDAv1. But now there is version OpenSDAv2 which is open source. For details check the next document in community by colleague Anthony Huereca:

OpenSDAv2
